:(. Very classy. As much as I liked it, I couldn't work out how to rock it in a modern way... until I started messing about with layering. Not his metro sexual crap now. It smells so mausculine like many fragrances of the period. I'm not sure there is a more descriptive term, so I'll go with that. Fresh, energetic and uplifting. I'm not sure why; because, I love most 80's scents. I definitely recommend it for the mids and dry down. Shop african, abstract, floral patterns, and more! A very special fragrance for men! The two have shared a longtime friendship over the years and have been spotted together at various premieres and social events. Sillage is 3-5 minutes, durability < 1 hour. Great house. South American gentleman of European descent from the golden age of informal formal clubbing. Unique one ... Gorgeous floral, spicy and aldehydic juice. Too diluted sythetic and yes, soapy asf. I just remember it was kind of strong, although that's not an issue for me since I like strong essences as well, but this one it just not got into my nose. Some of my favorit fragrances are Quorum, Antaeus, Santos concentree, Boss no.1, Kouros etc, and Oscar Pour Lui blend in to this group without problems. Great performing on my skin with a ton of longevity. Sniffing it all these years later it reminds me of lunches at Bertorelli Bros. restaurant at 19 Charlotte St (now a Mexican bar) which was enormously popular with my colleagues for client dining. I wish I could wear this. Given that Iquitos is going for over $300 on auction sites this is by far the closest I can get given my budget. Ok, so I acquired 2 vintage tester bottles, made in France by Parfums Stearns. It starts very strong and "brutal", but settles down to a elegant and sophisticated scent with some sweetness. Is it the lavender note that brings on the sweetness(?) I have read many opinions on the forum that the current version has really very weak parameters. Perhaps the older formulations are indeed beautiful. I got almost no floral notes minus anis and shades of bergamote. honestly i wear this perfume and i spray it on my back hand before i go to some chemist shop and try comparing it to anteus. I hope it will be available forever! It tells the story of the relaxed lifestyle by a successful mid age man who doesn't need to prove anything to anybody, just enjoy the day. I recommend Pour Lui. Perhaps two hours later there is little trace of that fougere accord. No one will ever accuse you of wearing a girly perfume with this. [vintage version] This is one of the most dignified masculine fragrances ever made. I was still very young when this one became popular in the Philippines. âHubert de Givenchy ... "Luxury is the ease of a T-shirt in a very expensive dress." The era of Concorde, the hot hatch. This is a killer in the bottle, however nice killer :-) that evolves a lot to very pleasant and warm, still very noble creation. Blind Buy...I have read all those comments and reviews on this fragrance and went today to the store to test it,there was only one bottle left in store so there is no tester,,,to be honest i am really surprised of this smell, can not explain what is smelling but it is beautiful, last long and prjection is amazing. It is winter fragrance and my advise to everyone spray 1-2 shots on cloth or skin 15 minutes before you going to some place where is heaps of people, after 15 minutes it turns into something amazing,i don't know what but to me it smells like oud or maybe i m wrong but it is really nice...Sprayed around 2pm and now is 6:30pm still smelling, will see how long will last, but for the price i am happy even with this amount of hours... Jus one more thing for the record: I really think Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui, is in the same League as Chanel Antaeus and Egoist, in both scent as performances. For a young nose that prefered the smell of freshly cooked pastries, hot choco drinks and soda, the overpowering smell of this one annoyed me.
